13 years and counting

This week marked our 13th year of marriage. It was turning out to be a busy weekend, so we scheduled our date a few days early and left Madi in charge of all our kiddos. Can I just say, it is so nice to have a kid finally old enough to babysit...scratch that, its heaven! So we ditched the kids and headed to my favorite restaurant-Cheesecake Factory. It didnt dissapoint. I went out on a limb, and ordered something new, the Chicken Bellagio which doesnt happen often, and it was super yummy. In fact I think I might have found my new favorite there...mmmmm. Then of course you cant go to cheesecake factory without ordering some cheesecake, so we topped it off with some Reses Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake. More yummmmm.

The next day Ryan took the day off and we took the kids (except Brylee, who stayed with a sitter), to spend the entire day at six flags. Again, it was awesome to be able to have Madi sit and wait with the kids so we could go on some bigger rides. It was so funny, Katelin actually thought I was going to die on one of them and begged me not to get on. I did anyway, and live to tell about it. Anyway, although we did hit a few good good ones, we just didnt have time for a couple of my favorites still. Man, that place is huge! It all turned out good though, except for Zack whimping out for most of the rides (shoulda left him home with Brylee!), and the period of overcast skies at the same time we got soaked on the water rides. It was a little chilly, but so worth it. I will spare more six flags pictures, since you have all seen them before.

When the actual day of our anniversary arrived, the kids ordered me to stay in bed and made me breakfast consisting of 3 peices of toast, a bagel, and a very thick chocolate breakfast drink. (: They also played me this little recording they had made for us: (oh yeah, be sure to turn on your sound and pause the music at the bottom before playing)
so cute!

When Ryan arrived home from work, he came bearing these:
Then the kids made us a spaghetti dinner and set up a 'romantic' table in our bedroom, complete with candles, flowers and music and left us to gaze into each others eyes while we ate in privacy. I think they watch too much TV, but it was sweet.
Speaking of TV, I always wanted to try this:
Katelin insisted that I post that picture, even though it looks really...just weird to me. Anyway, that pretty much wraps up the anniversary celebrating. In the words of one of the kids "I hope you make it another 13 years". I hope so too, but not so fast this time. Im not ready for Brylee to be driving yet!

Happy Anniversary!!!

CF is my favorite restaurant too so I am thinking Girls Night! I love the Lady and the Tramp picture. If you are still silly enough to pose like that and post it for the world then I'd say it is still working after 13 years. Oh, and your eyes are gorgeous in that picture with the flowers.
